Eildon Hall, located in Sibbald Point Provincial Park on the shore of Lake Simcoe, was once the family home of Susan Mein Sibbald. Originally built as a small Regency-style cottage around 1830, it was purchased by Susan in 1835 and named after her family home in Scotland. Over the years, the house was expanded into a grand rural manor, reflecting the lifestyle of a wealthy 19th-century family. The Sibbald family lived on the estate for generations until the property was sold in the early 1950s.
