The building was originally constructed in the late 1800s as a general store and post office in the small village of Floradale. In 2009, Bonnie Lou Martin renovated the old store and reopened it as Bonnie Lou’s Café, preserving many of its historic features, including the wooden floors, original counters, shelving, spice bins, and old post-office boxes.
