Édifice Jean-Talon

The Édifice Jean-Talon was built between 1969 and 1972 as part of the Quebec government’s modernization of Parliament Hill. The building is a notable example of Brutalist architecture, with massive concrete forms and narrow vertical windows. From 1972 to 2002, it housed the offices of the premier and the Cabinet meeting room. Today, it continues to serve as an important centre of Quebec’s provincial administration.
