242 Kehl St. Kitchener

Before starting my first semester of college, I was looking for meaningful volunteering opportunities related to my architecture program. I found out that Habitat for Humanity’s ongoing construction site was just a ten-minute walk from my apartment. During the summer of 2016, I went to the site every day and worked on various tasks including roofing, stairs, ductwork, painting, landscaping and framing. I am thankful that I met many wonderful people and learned hands-on skills.

I stopped by the site this evening. There are currently 39 households living in 8 townhouses.
